Pre-time skip Edelgard faces F!Byleth. She asks her "Tell me the truth, my teacher. Are you happy with your decision to stay by my side?"

Edelgard gestures towards Byleth with her right hand, telling her "Unlike me, you can still walk away from all of this."

Edelgard continues, she wants to be certain Byleth doesn't regret their choice. "This path leads to the death of the archbishop and the servants of the church. Can you live with that?"

Byleth, facing us head on, nods her head at Edelgard in assertion. She responds "I chose this path too."
